- FA8104-05-R-0154; PR: FD2030-05-52542 Maximum quantity for this contract is for 166 ea. Current USAF inventory of NSN: 5996-01-476-7550 OK, P/N: 101E9880G03 Digital Temperature Amplifier Controller (DTAC), for the J85 Engine. The DTAC limits exhaust gas temperature in J85 engine control system. Three year IDIQ, one year basic, with three one-year options. Three separate line items: Item One: for the modification of unknown quantity of Government Furnished Material (BAE T-5 Amp-5 NSN: Amp -21, NSN: 5996-01-476-7550 OK, P/N: 101E9880G03) to T-5 Amp-21 (NSN: 5996-01-469-5696OK; P/N 101E9880G02. Item Two: repair BAE T-5 AMP-5 (5996-01-476-7550 OK, P/N: 101E9880G03). Item Three: repair BAE T-5 AMP-21 (NSN: 5996-01-469-5696OK; P/N 101E9880G02). A Firm Fixed price contract is contemplated with certified cost and pricing if applicable. This item is critical to performance and safe engine operation. This requirement is sole source under 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). Only qualified sources may apply. The following source has been approved for this acquisition: BAE Systems, Cage Code 089954. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1), Justification: Supplies (or Services) required are available form only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of responsible source(s) under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submits proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty five-days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after the Government will consider date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualifications requirements at the time of award no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. NOTE: while price will be significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contact award decision may be based upon a combination of price and technical capability as detailed in the solicitation. NOTE: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposed development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
