Description

THIS SOLICITATION IS BEING ISSUED USING SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF FAR SUBPART 13.5 TEST PROGRAM FOR CERTAIN COMMERCIAL ITEMS. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Materials Science and Engineering Laboratory, has a requirement for a double glove box chamber: One chamber (right) with a single gloveport station; A second chamber (left) with two gloveport stations (4 total gloves); Thermal thin film metal evaporator; "T" style antechamber (32" L x 15.35" Diameter) connecting the two boxes; on-site installation of all items; and training. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334516 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. This acquisition is unrestricted and all responsible parties may submit a quote. The competitive Request for Quotation (RFQ), which will contain the specifications, attachments, subsequent RFQ amendments, and all questions and answers related to this procurement shall be made available via the Internet at HTTP://WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV under RFQ number SB1341-05-Q-0535. The RFQ is anticipated for release on or about May 9, 2005, and will only be available via the Internet at the above web site. Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the web site. Interested parties must respond to the RFQ in order to be considered for award of any resultant purchase order. Telephone requests shall not be honored, and no bidders list shall be maintained.
