- The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), China Lake, CA intends to procure three Chemical Storage Units on a competitive firm fixed price basis. Delivery of the units is FOB destination to the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division China Lake, CA 90 days after award of the contract. Specifications for the units are as follows: 1) 4-hour fire rating 2) Minimum/maximum overall dimensions: 24-26' length x 8-10' width x 9-11' height 3) Double doors with minimum/maximum dimensions of 50-62" width x 80" height, automatic closers (fusible links) and door coordinators. 4) Zone-4 seismic rating 5) Internal grounding system 6) Exterior and interior corrosion protection 7) Steel floor grating with a minimum of 500 psf (full interior SF) 8) Secondary storage containment with a minimum of 25% of design storage capacity, 9) Three (3) compartments to be of approx. equal size, 10) 2-hour fire rated separation walls, 11) Minimum R-11 insulation of ceiling, floor, ext! erior walls and doors, 12) Exterior rotating red beacon, 13) Three (3) interior lights (1 in each compartment) with 300 watt bulbs (Cl.1 DIV.1) with one (1) switch, 14) Three (3) forced heaters (1 in each compartment) (Cl.1 DIV.1) with built in thermostat and minimum of 9,000 BTU/hr, 15) Three (3) air conditioners (1) in each compartment) (Cl.1 DIV.1) with minimum of 19,000 BTU/hr, 16) Dry chemical fire suppression system with exterior audible alarm, remote annunciation contacts, and remote pull station inside a weatherproof enclosure, 17) Steel loading ramps (yellow) to fit specified door openings with minimum/maximum dimensions of 46-50" width x 86-90" length. The solicitation will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online Website at http://www.neco.navy.mil and the FEBBIZOPPS website at http://vsearch2.eps.gov/servlet/searchservlet on or about 4/25/2005. The solicitation will close on or about 5/18/2005. Award will be issued under the authority of the test prog! ram for commercial items (FAR 13.5). All responsible sources must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at the following website: https://www.ccr.dlis.mil/ccr/scripts/index.html. All responsible sources may submit a quotation that will be considered by the agency. Responses must include all information requested in the written Request for Quotation (RFQ). Evaluation for the award will consider price and other factors including technical capability.
