Description
The FISC Norfolk Procurement Office, Northeast plans to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) to acquire Intra-city Packing/Crating services. The period of performance will be one (1) base year from 01 June 2005 ? 31 May 2006, with an option to renew on a yearly basis for up to 2 years. Option years are exercised at the Government's discretion. The Contractor shall furnish all personnel, equipment, facilities, supplies, services and materials for the preparation of personal property of military members and civilian employees for movement in support of the Naval Air Engineering Station, Lakehurst, New Jersey for the counties of Ocean, Monmouth, and Burlington County. This synopsis for commercial services is prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6, using simplified acquisition procedures for commercial items found at FAR 13 as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. The synopsis shall be posted on both FEDBIZOPPS and N! ECO (http://www.neco.navy.mil/). This is a total small business competitive action. The government intends to award a single award. NAICS Code is 484210 and the Size Standard is $21.5 million. Central Contractor Registration (CCR) as required by FAR 4.1102 apply to this procurement. Prospective contractors must be registered prior to award. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. Information on CCR registration can be obtained via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Questions regarding technical or contractual issues must be addressed to the Contract Specialist via email or fax ONLY. It is anticipated that the Request for Quotation will be ready for release on or about May 1, 2005. Interested vendors can email Jennifer.Boetig@navy.mil for a copy of the RFQ via email.
