Description

The work involves the construction of a repository, passive wetlands water treatment system, fences, stream diversions & ditches, geosynthetic bank stabilization as an example, at a former mine site on Bureau of Land Management land. The project is located approximately 20 miles NE from Baker City, Oregon in Sections 31 & 32 of T7S R43E. Approximately 36,000 cubic yards of material (tailings) shall be excavated and placed within the repository. The entire work site shall receive cover soil and a rehabilitation treatment (seeding, recontouring, etc.). Contractor will be responsible for road maintenance, traffic control and safety during operations. Project price range is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Estimated start work is June 20, 2005 and performance time is 350 calendar days. Bonds are required - Bid Bond: 20%; Performance Bond: 100%; and Payment Bond: 100%. This solicitation will be posted electronically. Paper copies are no longer available. Estimated issue date is May 12, 2005.
