Description

THIS PROCUREMENT WILL BE LIMITED TO ELIGIBLE 8(A) FIRMS LOCATED WITHIN THE GEOGRAPHICAL AREA SERVICED BY THE SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (SBA) Louisiana District Office. The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment, an d performing all work for constructing the crushed stone surfacing on the East Bank and West Bank Red River Levee crown and ramps, Natchitoches Levee District, in Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana. Principal features of the work include grass removal; crown preparation; furnishing, hauling, placing, compacting, dressing and maintaining the crushed stone surfacing; providing weight tickets for material places; providing Contractor Quality Control; and environmental protection. The value of the proposed work i s between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Plans and specifications will be available on the Vicksburg Consolidated Contracting Office WEB PAGE at http://www.mvk.usace.army.mil./contract/. Compact disc and hardcopies will not be available. Bidders shoul d check the VCCO Web Page often for new solicitations and/or changes (AMENDMENTS) to existing ones. Issue date on or about May 20, 2005. Bid opening date on or about June 21, 2005. Rights-of-Way to proceed with construction are not available; therefore, bids will not be opened and contract award will not be made until all necessary right-of-way are available.
