- Description
- This solicitation will be issued as Unrestricted, IDTC and will be a Production Test Type Contract. The quantity is for 31,000 pairs minimum and 60,000 pairs maximum of the Gloves, Protective Cut Resistant to be manufactured in accordance with CO/PD 03-12 dated January 28, 2005. The Commercial Item Description will be attached to the solicitation. Best Value Source Selection procedures will be used in this solicitation. The following evaluation factors are incorporated: Product Demonstration Models (PDM Evaluations will contain testing requirements for cut resistance and puncture resistance); Past Performance, Socioeconomic Considerations, DLA Mentoring and JWOD. Two (2) one year term options will be included in the solicitation. Options are exercised solely at the discretion of the Government. The RFP will be issued using FOB Destination. The production lead-time on the first delivery order (minimum quantity) will begin 150 days after date of award and will consist of 5 delivery increments. Copies of this solicitation will be made available on the DLA Procurement Gateway at http://progate.daps.dla.mil/home/ at time of solicitation issuance. RFPs are in portable document format (PDF). Important Note on Foreign Content: The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as ?The Berry Amendment?) impose restrictions on the DoD?s acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and ?specialty metals? (as defined in DFARS Clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exception applies.
