Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) This Combined Synopsis/Solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) W912CZ-05-T-0037. (iii) This Combined Synopsis/Solicitation and the provisions and clauses incorporated are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-15. (iv) This acquisition is a Small Business Set-aside, Size standards 500 Employees. The applicable NAICS is 453998. (v) The item requested is as follows: CLIN 0001 Helmets with the following specifications: a. Snowmobile/ATV Helmets that must be able to be utilized in cold weather, helmet will include a flip-up chin, clear face shield, with retractable sun visor. b. Due to our, extreme cold weather conditions we request that the helmet have a breath box in the helmet to prevent internal fogging. Also we request removable linings so that they can be cleaned when the helmet is issued to a new person. c. Must be DOT and SM approved. d. Helmets must have internal (no external radio) communications so that driver and rider can communicate. e. Helmets must be able to communicate with the ground radio series Motorola model XTS5000 service radio, models 1, 2, and 3. Vendor will install the helmet communication kits and ensure that they operate. f. Helmet must have a push to talk assembly, including cable breakaway. g. All helmets must be black in color. h. Sizes are: 2 medium, 3 large, and 3 extra large. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors, Commercial, applies to this acquisition, a long with the following addenda. (ix) Offers will be evaluated using the following evaluation factors, technically acceptable, price and delivery time. The contract will be awarded to the offeror that provides the best value to the government. (x) All of fers must include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications, Commercial Items (Alt I) (xi) The clause at 52.212-4, Contract terms and Conditions Commercial Items applies to this acquisition along with the f ollowing addenda: 52.219-1, Small Business Program Representations (Apr 2002).
