- This FedBizOpps special notice is to advise that the Government intends to make a sole source open market award to Battelle Memorial Institute of Columbus, Ohio. Battelle was recently awarded a competitive delivery order under their General Services Administration (GSA) MOBIS Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) contract. The effort is for the support the Library of Congress, National Library of Science for the Blind and Physically Handicapped, for the design of a system consisting of a portable digital player suitable for the distribution and presentation of digital talking books (DTBs) to blind and physically handicapped readers. Battelle identified in its original proposal, a list of open market items that consist of items and materials that do not have design specifications. Items required are tooling for elastomeric keypad, tooling for prototypes, cast urethane parts, short run injection molding tool, injection molded parts, modeling materials and miscellaneous modeling materials, materials for functional prototypes and production prototypes, SLA parts for design and masters, etc. Should you be an interested supplier and/or manufacturer, please contact Ms. Hannah Nunn, Battelle Contracting Officer, at 614-424-6151.
