The original RFI is modified to read as follows: This i s a Request For Information from U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command and Army Strategic Command (SMDC ARSTRAT). SMDC ARSTRAT G2 Spectral Operations Readiness Center (SORC) requires a system to allow more rapid access to commercial and civil satelli te imagery data. The required system needed consists of providing a Multi-Sensor Virtual Ground Terminal that enables rapid access to commercial and civil satellite imagery data. This would include both optical and Synthetic Aperture RADAR (SAR) data from sensors such as DigitalGlobe's Quickbird and the Canadian RADARSAT satellite. System needs to have a small footprint to allow for flexible positioning for tactical forces around the world. System needs to be expandable to allow inclusion of new satellite s ensors such as DigitalGlobe's Worldview and the Canadian SAR satellite RADARSAT 2. The system will allow the unit to request specific data or automatically receive compressed commercial and or civil imagery over a high bandwidth commercial communication li nk (provided by the unit) and process the data within the area of operations. This is a Request For Information to identify sources interested in supplying the aforesaid system. The following information is provided for planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request For Proposal (RFP) nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach.
