Description

The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO), Transport and Satellite Branch, Procurement Section (PL8221) intends to issue a competitive solicitation, set aside for 8(a) eligible concerns, under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act (15. U.S.C. 637(a)). The solicitation requires Maintenance, Operation and Support of the Puerto Rican Area Wideband Microwave System (PRAWS-II). PRAWS-II is a combination of terrestrial and microwave communications linking various Government locations within the Caribbean Basin. Contract type will be a Firm Fixed Price Service with cost reimbursable features. The contract period will be a two (2) year base with eight (8) one year option periods. Only responses from eligible 8a offerors will be considered. Oral communications will not be accepted. When released, the solicitation will be available for download from the DITCO Contracting Opportunities web site at: https://www.ditco.disa.mil/dcop/public/asp/dcop.asp. Solicitation release will occur some time after 30 April 2005.
