Description
NAICS Code: 541720 The United States Environmental Protection Agency National Center for Environmental Economics intends to award a fixed-price purchase order sole source contract for the 2005 National Data Package to the Minnesota Implan Group,, using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, simplified acquisition procedures. The data is unique in that it includes OVER 500 economic sectors and all the counties in the U.S. The data itself if compiled from many state and federal sources and is balanced to the National Income and Product Accounts and conforms to all input-output accounting definitions. It is a high-quality data set and the USEPA NCEE has not found a better alternative. The data is used in combination with IMPLAN Pro software, which NCEE owns. This purchase would update NCEE's data set to the most recent version (available January 2005. The data set serves as a key resource for economic information as well as the basis for economic impact models. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 541720. No solicitation or request for quote (RFQ) is available. Notwithstanding, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting EPA's requirement as stated herein may submit a response, which if received by the response date of this announcement may be considered. Responses to this posting must be received in writing. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
