Description

The contractor shall provide the necessary personnel; materials and services required to perform a firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract type in support of NOAA’s National Marine Mammal Laboratory (NMML). Contractor shall provide the following support services: Perform literature searches and reviews; compiling and cataloging background material; and/or preparing summaries and bibliographies or a specified scientific research project. Translate foreign language editions of scientific papers, journals and documents; perform data conversions and coding; perform data analysis; prepare engineering drawings and schematics; Analyzes charts, aerial photographs and maps utilizing photogrammetric and cartographic techniques; design, exercising/or testing computer models utilizing stimulation, simulation, emulation, numerical and statistical analysis techniques; provide writing and editorial services; provide assistance with the organization, preparation and review of marine mammal and endangered species scientific research permit requirements; serves as a seagoing technicians and scientists for marine mammal surveys, oceanographic cruises, or fisheries surveys; conduct underwater surveys using snorkel or scuba diving; provide environmental safety management and laboratory waste handling (hazardous, biomedical, non-hazardous); conduct molecular biological or physiological experiments, measurements analyses, tests or evaluation; provide a variety of administrative support services to include receptionist duties, word processing skills, etc, in support of a specified scientific research project. The period of performance will be for a base year and four One-year option periods. A Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation will be available on or about May 12, 2005, through the Government’s website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. The ESTIMATED response due date is June14, 2005. Interested parties should use the FedBizOpps [REGISTER TO RECEIVE NOTIFICATION] and [REGISTER AS AN INTERESTED VENDOR] feature which provides notification when the RFP becomes available for download and all postings associated with the solicitation. Each potential offeror is responsible for checking this website to gain all the updates/ amendments to any and all documents. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued. The procurement is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 541990 and the Business Size Standard is $6 million.
