- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solid State Data Recorder for Telemetry Data Center, WSMR, NM Salient Features and Requirements 1. TDC requires Solid State Media Data recorders capable of delivering accurate performance with the highest reliability. All TDC recorders are required to support the IRIG 106 Chapter 10 specification as written and shall updated to support the final pu blished standard at no additional cost. Recorder must preserve the temporal data quality to 100 ns. 2. Recorder must support an aggregate bandwidth of 255 MegBits/Sec. Additional units must be able to 'Slave' to provide greater aggregate bandwidth. Units shall be of modular design featuring modular media as well as interface cards. Unit will be equi pped such that it may support: a. IRIG time code record/reproduce channel. b. One (minimum) Voice Annotation record/reproduce channel. e. One Serial record/reproduce channel, RS422,RS232. c. Recorder will be equipped with 32 PCM (20 Mb/sec NRZ-l) record/reproduce channels d. Two 5 G/byte minimum media removable modules. Each Module should emulate standard SCSI removable volume. e. All necessary software and technical disclosures to allow to remotely operate recorder and to develop user's own software to control/operate recorder. f. All necessary software and technical disclosures to allow Zeroising of the Storage Media. g. All necessary software and technical disclosures to allow user to process Irig 106 chapter 10 files and to allow user to generate files that are compatible. 3. Additional consideration is given for units with modules available that record Analog 20 Ms/sec, 802.11 network signals, signals, IEEE 1394 Firewire and MPEG 2 video data.
