REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (SOURCES SOUGHT) HAZARDOUS WASTE INCINERATORS DATED 7 APRIL 2005 U.S ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS, OMAHA DISTRICT Document Type: Request for Information (RFI) Technical: Ed Mead, -Fax: (402) 679-2595 -Email: s.ed.mead@usace.army.mil Remarks: The U.S. government is inquiring about the availability of simple incinerators to burn used motor oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid and fuel contaminated with soil (motor vehicle gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil, JP-8 jet fuel) in the country of Iraq. T he requirements are as follows: The smaller units must be able to burn 5 gallons per hour and weigh less than 500 pounds The larger units must be able to burn 20 gallons per hour and weigh less than 2000 pounds Units that do not use electricity are preferred. If electricity is required they must use less than 1 KW of 240-volts and 60-cycle. The unit will require no auxiliary fuel unless a small amount of clean fuel oil or diesel fuel is required during startup The units must be easy to transport from one location to another and easy re-assembled at the new location. The opacity of the combustion emissions from the unit must not exceed 20 per cent. Must be able to support an estimated initial production run of 100 units. This figure is subject to change in accordance with site conditions. Your participation in this market research is encouraged and welcomed. The material should not exceed five pages per unit and must include a si mple engineering drawing and technical description that explains how the unit works. Contractors are expected to respond with pertinent information within 14 calendar days of RFI issuance date.
