- Paint, Coating Systems for Ship Structures: 1) Nova Plate Ultra High Solid Epoxy, Military Specification (MIL-SPEC) MIL-PRF-23236C (12 August 2003), and Qualified Products List QPL 23236-74 (22 Nov 2004), Type VII, Grade C, Classes 5, 7, 13, and 19; 2) FastClad ER Epoxy, Mil-Spec 23236C and QPL-23236-74Type VII, Grade C, Classes 5, 7, and 18. All critical coating paints shall be manufactured from the same lots and batches. Contractor shall provide samples of all paints identified as Critical Coating Paints requiring testing and forward to approved laboratory of Trident Refit Facility. Testing is required to ensure paints meet Mil Spec requirements and parameter values of the Standard for Shipbuilders and Marine Paints and Coatings Product/Procedures data sheets (ASTM F718) for the test specified in note 9 of Table 631-11-1 of NSTM Chapter 631. Contractor shall establish a climate controlled JIT Warehouse at the Trident Refit Facility, Naval Submarine Base, Kings Bay, GA. where delivery of forecasted inventory can be accomplished within 24 hours of date of order. A requirements contract will be established with a base period and four (4) one year options. NAICS Code 325510, size standard 500 employees.
