- NAICS Code: 541710 The Gulf Ecology Division (GED) of the National Health and Environmental Research Laboratory (NHEERL), Office of Research and Development (ORD) at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Gulf Breeze, Florida, is seeking a recent graduate with a B.S. degree in biology, chemistry, ecology, environmental science, engineering, statistics, or a related field to provide services under a contractual agreement. The student contractor will assist in performing statistical analyses, interspecies correlations, data summarizations and assessments, and quantitation of variability and uncertainty in model predictions of the toxicity of chemicals to aquatic organisms and wildlife. Work will be primarily performed in an office environment. The period of performance will begin approximately May 15, 2005 and end approximately May 14, 2006 with an option for an additional 12 months period of performance through May 14, 2007. The optional period of performance will be exercised at the discretion of the Government. It is anticipated that the contractor will work an average of 40 hours per week. The majority of the work will be Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; some week-end and holiday work should be expected.
