SOL: 261-0111-05 Due: April 22, 2005 Request for Proposal ? HIV-1 Genotyping Kit and Supplies The Department of Veterans Affairs has a requirement for leasing and maintaining an integrated, DNA sequence based, HIV-1 genotyping system that incorporates reagents (Chemistry) in a kit format with instrumentation (Hardware) and software which provides an interpretative HIV-1 resistance report based upon clinically accepted algorithmic rules and oversight by an independent consensus panel of drug resistant experts. System must be FDA approved as an in-vitro diagnostic and shall be delivered to VA Palo Alto Health Care System at no additional cost to VAPAHCS. The contract will also include the prices for the supplies related to the use of this equipment. Please advise if your firm is a small business, and if so, what category.
