Description

The Naval Air Systems Command at Patuxent River, MD, intends to negotiate and award a time and materials order to procure technical and engineering support to modify the Torque Harness, A15ES298-1/3, for the Aircraft Integrated Maintenance System (AIMS), under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA), N00019-05-G-0012. The proposed order will be awarded on a sole source basis to the Boeing Company, Boeing Helicopters, Ridley Park, PA. The authority permitting other than full and open competition is Title 10, U.S. Code, Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Torque Harness wiring assembly will be modified to include the addition of the Vibration Sensor lead (13E2582-23 NADEP Drawing) for future spares. The effort will include qualifying the new Torque Harness design and source and revising the Next Higher Assemblies (NHA) as required. Ametek Aerospace, a subcontractor to Boeing, will provide the following support under this effort: revising the supplier drawing and associated drawings to incorporate the addition of lead 13E2582-23, providing first article inspection, qualifying the new harness by similarity, substantiating the documentation and providing two harnesses for trial installation.
