Description
This contract is intended to provide quick response for minor Construction Projects, Design/Build Construction, Conventional Construction, and Service Type Projects primarily associated with the Civil Works Programs, and other programs within the Lou isville District Corps of Engineers. Project design will be a small portion of the contract. The work can consist of but not be limited to: building demolition; debris removal; structural repairs; renovations; sitework; utility replacements; pavement re placement; channel improvements; landscaping; geotechnical, surveying, and mapping services; instrumentation; architectural; furniture (restricted to UNICOR unless a waiver is issued); food service; security and fencing; and lead and asbestos abatement. T he work can also consist of emergency response to natural and national disasters, including floods, tornados, and hurricanes. Typically, efforts would be in the form of debris removal and disposal; structure demolition; temporary housing; stream channel c lean-up; temporary and/or permanent repairs to roads, bridges, and other structures; and/or other disaster related needs that the Corps of Engineers is asked to respond to. Contract will consist of one two-year base period and one three-year option period , for a total of five years. Minimum guarantee is $240,000 for base period and $120,000 for option period. Maximum contract value is $30 million, including option. Task orders are estimated to range from $100,000 to $1,500,000 with no individual task or der limit. Each task order issued against this contract will either be a Design/Build Construction, Conventional Construction, or Service Type with the applicable wage rates applying. Sites of work can be anywhere in the Great Lakes and Ohio River Divisi on Mission Boundaries. This project is 100% set aside for HUB Zone Small Business firms located within the geographical area serviced by the Small Business Administration Region 4 and 5. This is a Request for Proposal and offers will be evaluated in acco rdance with the following criteria, listed in descending order of importance: Technical Approach, Administrative/Management, Past Performance, and Price. This project will be available by downloading from the Internet only.
