- Description
- The Food and Drug Administration intends to award a non-competitive, sole source purchase order to NimbleGen Systems, Inc. Madison, WI. FDA will purchase one hundred (100) Enteric Bacteria 12-Plex Microarrays from NimbleGen Systems. The contractor uses an innovative photolithography technology that enables the creation of fully customized microarrays for any genome. The contractor acts as a core facility by providing customized high-density biochips with unprecedented flexibility for functional genomics experiments, including genotyping and high-throughput screening. The optimal design process results in highly reproducible data along with quick turnaround. The contractor provides custom DNA microarrays that are applicable to resequencing efforts focused on identifying small polymorphic regions found within bacterial genomes. This is not a formal request for quotes. However, evaluation of other offers and any award decision will be made on a best value basis. The FDA intends to make an award immediately after the response date of this notice. The sole source procurement is being awarded as a simplified acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 13.
