Description

The National Park Service is soliciting quotes for repair of a cracked and displaced section of pavement in the motor road of the Blue Ridge Parkway, Milepost 316.4, in Avery County, near Spruce Pine, North Carolina 28777. The solicitation will be available on or about April 8, 2005 at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Responses will be due approximately 30 days following issuance of solicitation. Offerors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. The work includes repair of roadway approximately 65-feet in length and approximately 20-feet in width. Includes removal of existing asphalt pavement at a depth of approximately 6-inches; placing as needed, leveling and compacting of road base material; installation of new asphalt pavement; repainting of yellow centerline traffic markings; traffic control; proper disposal of all excess and unusable materials. An additive item of clearing of debris from culvert will be considered. The NAICS code for this project is 237310 and the small business size standard is $28.5 million. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. In accordance with FAR subpart 36.204, the price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. Prospective offerors must register on the Central Contractor Registration website at http://www.ccr.gov in order to receive awards from federal agencies, as well as the National Business Center website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov.
