Description
NASA/ARC has a requirement for NASA/ARC has a requirement for two (2) Rackmount Data Collection System. The system must be capable of the following: Collect, record, display, calibrate, and analyze images from FLIR Systems Indigo Operations infrared cameras utilizing the RTools Radiometric Software Suite. It must record Parallel LVDS or Camera Link Base image data at 62.5 megabytes per second (100 frames/s for 640x512 FPA) to operator-removable nonvolatile storage for at least 10 minutes. It needs to display Parallel LVDS /Camera Link image data at 6.25 megabytes per second (10 frames/s for 640x512 FPA) to the Data acquisition monitor simultaneously with the above recording specification, and GigE networking or image acquisition/control from GigE-based FLIR cameras. Included hardware is a 19? rack mountable case with a maximum depth of 21? (excluding connectors) and a maximum height of 36? and a 17? LCD rack mountable monitor. Also required is 2 (two) of each of the following: 1) CRU DataPort V Plus removable storage enclosure, 2) Extra spare drives for each system giving the following hard drive distribution for each system, installed: OS drives, processed data, and real-time SCSI drives and Spare (not installed): OS, processed data, and real-time SCSI drives, 3) CRU trays, 4) IRIG card for each System, and 5) Checkout system in "head-less" configuration using VNC software (freeware). TechSupport Technical Assistance for Setup, Install & Overview must be included. NASA/ARC intends to purchase the items from FLIR Systems Indigo Operations of Goleta, based on the full compatibility with existing NASA Ames cameras and image database. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on April 5, 2005. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
