- The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity, 820 Chandler Street, Fort Detrick, MD intends to establish a firm fixed price contract for Copiers Lease to Own (3 year) to include Maintenance. The contemplated contract is for a basic contract p eriod of 1 May 2005 through 30 April 2006 with four one-year option periods. Total life of the contract is for 70 Copiers. To reduce supply storage impacts, new copiers must be Cannons and be one of the following models Canon 22201, 3320i, 5020i or their current equivalent. All copiers provided will have the following features: Collating offset or trays, front-loading drawer, print job accounting, stapler, stacker, network connectivity, 25% - 40% zoom, restricted password protected set up, black and whit e, copy control access, multi-page enlargement, automatic exposure, paper deck, copy sizes: 5.5 X 8.5 - 11 X 17, and be able to produce 2-sided copies. This acquisition will be accomplished as a Commercial service pursuant to FAR part 12 and in accordance with FAR 15, contracting by negotiations. The government intends to evaluate proposals and make award the discussions, but reserves the right to award without discussions. If award is made without conducting discussions, offerors may be given the opport unity to clarify certain aspects of proposals (e.g. the relevance of an offeror's past performance information and adverse past performance information to which the offeror has not previously had an opportunity to respond) or to resolve minor or clerical e rrors. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for women owed small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 532420. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry to receive a contract award from a DoD activity. All prospective offers interested in submitting a proposal on this solicitation must have a com mercial and government entity code (CAGE CODE). Effective 1 January 2005, offerors are required to provide representations and certifications electronically via the BPN website; to update the reps and certs as necessary, but at least annually, to keep the m current, accurate and complete.
