Description
Criteria for the possible replacement of Basic Urology products (trays, collection devices and kits) for TRICARE Puget Sound and Alaska is but not limited to the following: must carry a full product line (wide range of sizes, trays, kits and collect ion devices), must currently possess or be in the process of obtaining a Distribution and Pricing Agreement (DAPA), ability to service the entire Region (WA and Alaska), must provide customer support (1-800-numbers and product representatives for each acco unt), utilization reports, educational programs, clinical support, return goods policy, volume discounts, must provide your companys distribution network, must provide proposed implementation plan, must be able to meet Regions usage/volume requirements, product must be simple and easy to use, must have insertion kits that are latex-free, all products are clearly marked with contents, lot number and sterility expiration date, insertion kits include components for aseptic catheterization including an optio nal kit w/30 ml syringe w/ sterile water, product line includes variety of insertion kits (w/without catheters; w/without collection system), insertion kits are available with a variety of skin prep/cleansers to address patient sensitivity, collection devi ces are designed with needle-less collection port(s), incremental markings enable accurate measurement of small amounts of urine output, drainage port is easily secured, easily operated and minimizes body fluid exposure, collection devices have leak-proof design, collection devices are available as single-packaged item, collection/drainage devices have a securement mechanism that is user friendly and comfortable, leg bags are available in a variety of sizes (pediatric and adult), leg bag drainage port is ea sily secured, easily operated, and minimizes body fluid exposure, system has a catheter securement mechanism that is user friendly and comfortable, sterile catheter irrigation kit is available with minimum 60cc syringe and 500cc collection container, steri le packaged urine specimen cups are available and line of female/male incontinence devices are available. Companies interested in participating in the evaluation and possible agreement with TRICARE Puget Sound and Alaska for Basic Urology products (trays, collection devices and kits) need to reply to this solicitation NO LATER THAN 7 April 2005. All responses will include company name, POC and contact information (suggest more then one POC) and your intent to participate in this standardization initiative .
