- Issue date: 28 MAR 2005. PR NR: F2LMEL50380700. One Quad Density Instrumentation Digital Tape Recorder and One Lab ARMOR Mux/Demux Unit, along with Cabling, Connectors, Parts Kits, Operation Manuals, Miscellaneous Eequipment, and Installation. Anticipated award date: 27 APR 2005. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), Justification: Supplies (or Services) required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed contract is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the proposal. However, the Government will consider all proposals received prior to the closing date on the solicitation. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Specifications, plans, or drawings relating to the procurement described are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. The Government does not own the data or the rights to the data needed to purchase this item from additional sources. Sole Source: Ampex Data Systems Corp., 1228 Douglas Ave, Redwood, CA 94063. Supplies may be deemed to be available only from the original source. These items will be used as a system wide spare and must be of a current standard configuration to be compatible with operational test equipment at all test sites. The integrated systems software is proprietary to Ampex Data Systems Corp.
