- This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for the following commercial items, 25 Each Solid State Laser Cavity Analysis, Simulation, and Design Software LASCAD Basic with Finite Element Analysis and Beam Propogation Method or equivalent/equal to product. Item No: INS-LAS-SW-003 - LASCAD+FEA+BPM (Beam Propagation Method). Required features/capabilities of computer code: ABCD matrix algorithm which computes spot size and phase front curvature of transverse modes along the optical axis both inside and outside the laser cavity. Calculates laser beam parameters such as size, position of beam waist, far field beam divergence, and beam quality (M^2) Includes Finite Element Analysis code that computes 3D data of absorbed pump light density and user defined boundr condition and which is streamlessly integrated with ABCD matrix code. Includes Beam Propogation Methodology that uses a Fast Fourier Transform algorithm to propogate the beam in small steps through the laser crystal, taking into account the distribution of local refractive and crystal endface deformations, as well as effects realted to diffraction and other optical loss processes. A Single User Network License is required. This synopsis and solicitation is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) F2KBAD5034A300. This procurement is being issued as 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-17 and DFARS Change Notice 2003-1001. North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) 511210 , Size Standard, $21,000,000.00, applies to this procurement. FOB Destination: 4600 RANDOLPH BLVD NW BLDG 1010 KIRTLAND AFB NM 87117. Quotes will be evaluated on price related factors only.
