Description
The National Mine Health and Safety Academy is requesting bids from potential vendors who are interested in providing architectural drawings, electrical schematics, and project specifications essential for the purchase and installation of a 1000 KW generator set and a 5000-gallon diesel fuel tank necessary to supply fuel required for its operation. In addition, the contractor shall provide oversight of subject project and will keep the Contracting Officer?s Technical Representative (COTR) informed on its progress until completed. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: All work will be performed at the National Mine Health and Safety Academy, Beaver, West Virginia. Due to required on-site supervision, it is recommended that interested vendors be located within 100 miles of Beaver, West Virginia. Site visit is suggested ? please contact Gary Humphrey at 304/256-3100. SCOPE OF WORK: The Contractor shall: Provide all electrical drawings required for installation of 1000 KW Generator at the Academy. Provide lay out of conduit and wiring from generator to 12,470-volt service and control wiring to the power room. Size conduit and wiring for power and control circuits. Provide one-line diagram for power circuits with specifications on transfer switches, control transformer, and any other equipment required. Work up control circuit to allow only loads required to be energized from the generator as specified by Academy personnel. Supervise complete installation of generator, switching, and fuel storage and supply. Supervise and oversee initial startup.
