Description

Provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation and supervision required to modify the administration building at U. S. Coast Guard Air Station Detroit, Mt. Clemens, MI. Major work items include: Demolition (remove existing secondary entry doors and frames, remove additional interior doors and frames, remove existing suspended lay-in ceiling and grid work, remove existing wood or metal stud and drywall partitions, remove existing carpet and floor tile and remove existing light fixtures and ductwork); Architectural (install metal stud and Type ?X? fire-code drywall partitions to create new spaces; install new doors, frames, and reinstall existing hardware; provide new suspended acoustical ceiling in new spaces); Mechanical (remove existing hydronic piping and related HVAC ductwork, hangers and accessories that will not be used in new layout; remove existing plumbing fixtures and piping in berthing rooms and cap sanitary plumbing below the floor and branch vents at the stacks above the ceiling; provide new HVAC-DX units to service new spaces; provide all new ductwork, interlocks, controls, thermostats and accessories for new HVAC systems; provide new HVAC supply and return grills, ductworks and controls for new spaces; and modify existing wet pipe sprinkler system for new layout); Electrical (provide new lighting for new spaces, provide new illuminated exit signed and emergency lighting; provide new duplex outlets, provide dedicated circuits for communication equipment, provide new conduits and raceway for fiber optic and various cables for communication equipment, provide for connection and reconnection for non-communications equipment; and provide new fire alarm equipment and reconnect to existing system). The building will remain in full operation during construction work. This procurement is estimated between $250K and $500K. This procurement is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The applicable NAICS is 236220/$28.5M. Completion time is 120 DANTP. The prime contractor will be required to perform a minimum of 25 percent of work at the site (labor) with its own organization.
