- DESC: PVD M9 MAGAZINES This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. FAR 12.203 applies. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a proposal is being requested from Beretta, USA, on a sole-source basis and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation M67854-05-R-1047 is a Request for Proposal (RFP) and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-20. This acquisition is a sole source acquisition for a commercial item. Part 12. DPAS Rating is: DO-A5. CLIN 0001: PVD M9 Magazine, Qty 132,631, Improved M9 Magazine. DESCRIPTION: The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) has a requirement for Qty 132,631 commercial PVD M9 Magazines that are compatible with the Marine Corps current inventory of Beretta 9mm M9 pistols. Beretta USA is presumed to be the only known source for this item. The key capabilities that the offerors must address include, the following: magazine must be such that shells have only three contact points within the magazine itself and will have a nickel plated anti-friction coating. DELIVERY: CLIN 0001 shall be shipped FOB Destination and shipped to/marked for one of two locations. Qty of 66,316 will be for shipment to Albany, GA and Qty of 66,315 will be for shipment to Barstow, CA. Full addresses will be available at time of award. DATE OF DELIVERY: Delivery of CLIN 0001 shall be at the rate of 20,000 per month to begin NOT LATER THAN 105 days after award. Free Trade Agreement - Balance of Payments Program, 252.232-7003 Electronic Submission of Payment Requests, 252.247-7023 Transportation of Supplies by Sea and 252.247-7024 Notification of Transportation of Supplies by Sea. *The following DFAR clauses are incorporated by reference 252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration. Free Trade Agreements - Balance of Payments Program Certificate. Offerors are required to meet the delivery dates. Offerors shall submit a written technical proposal that clearly illustrates that its product meets all technical requirements. Commercial product literature is encouraged. In the event that there is a conflict between the offeror?s proposal and commercial literature, the proposal will take precedence. Offerors written proposal shall be limited to 5 pages. The price proposal shall state the unit cost, inclusive of shipping to the destinations above. The offeror shall include commercial catalog pricing. The Government intends to evaluate proposals and make award without discussions; however, the Government reserves the right to hold discussions if necessary.
