- The U. S. Department of the Interior, Minerals Management Service, on behalf of Commander, Naval Surface Forces Atlantic, intends to make a firm-fixed price, sole source award to Wilcox, Portsmouth, NH. Specifically, NavSea has a need for aluminum/stainless steel interface assembly to allow the use of Grappling hook or Shepherd hook to be attached to Telescoping Fiberglass Poles. The interface assembly was developed in coordination with the US Navy, and has been tested and approved for NavSea's use. The interface assembly must also work with three other components manufactured by other vendors. This announcement is published as a Sole Source in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. This is NOT a request for competitive quotes. The intent of this Special Notice is for informational purposes only. However, all information received by 4:30 p.m. EST March 28, 2005 will be considered by the Government. The anticipated award date is March 29th, 2005.
