Description

The Marine Corps Systems Command intends to negotiate and award on a sole-source basis, a firm-fixed price contract with Rafael Armament Development Authority, P. O. Box 2250 (2R), Haifa, Israel, for a quantity of 243 each Enhanced Appliqu? Armor Kits (EAAK)for the USMC AAVA71 Assault Amphibious Vehicle. The kits to be procured include the Overhead Protection Kit (OPK), Slope Rack Kit (SRK) and the Armor Piercing Projectile Kit (APK). Rafael is the sole producer of the EAAK, is the only company that has the necessary drawings, and owns the rights to the composition and assembly process for the armor. No other source is considered capable of performing the required effort within the current time constraints. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. No solicitation document exists for this effort. See Numbered Note 22.
