- Medical Supplies - Potential Sources Sought Military Hospitals: (Army, Navy, Air Force) Southeast and Southwest Regions Gloves, Exam: Standardization Point of Contact: Cindy Ingrao, Clinical Consultant, Tri-Service Regional Business Office, Southwest Region, San Diego, CA. Telephone: (619) 532-8517. Potential sources sought to participate in the regional standardization of Exam Gloves. Southeast and Southwest Regions, a military integrated delivery network (IDN), comprised of Army, Navy and Air Force medical treatment centers in Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, and California are in the process of standardizing Exam Gloves. If your company currently holds, or is in the process of obtaining a Distribution and Pricing Agreement (DAPA) with the Defense Supply Center-Philadelphia (DSCP) for Exam Gloves, your company is eligible to participate in the standardization process. Please respond by Email to: cingrao@nmcsd.med.navy.mil and provide your company name, address, point of contact, telephone, fax and E-mail address and answers to the below listed questions no later than April 4, 2005. For questions, please call (619) 532-8517. 1.Does your company manufacture or distribute exam gloves? If so, does your company have gloves for applications in dentistry, oncology, radiology, pathology, acute care, emergency room, and industrial settings (housekeeping, hazardous, etc)? 2.Are your products available through the Prime Vendor, Owens & Minor? 3.What is your DAPA number? 4.Under what brand(s) does your company manufacture or distribute your product? 5.Under what standards is your product manufactured? 6.Does your product meet ASTM standards? If so, which ones? 7.What materials (latex-free, vinyl, nitrile, etc) do your gloves come in? 8.Are your gloves compatible with all skin types? 9.Do your gloves have any additives to prevent skin irritation? If yes, what are these additives? 10.Do your gloves come with and without powder? 11.Are your gloves made to hold wet or dry objects without slipping? 12.Are the cuffs beaded? 13.Can tape and/or labels be easily removed from your gloves? 14.How are your products packaged? (Sterile/clean, non-sterile, boxes, peel pack single and/or pairs, etc?) 15.Do your products come in different sizes? If so, what sizes? Are these sizes color-coded? 16.Does your company provide in-service training for your product(s)? If so, is this training provided by your company at no charge? 17.Does your company provide customer service 24/7? 18.Is there any history of backorders and/or recalls for this product group?
