Description
The National Park Service intends to issue a Prospectus for a concession contract to provide medical clinic services within Glen Canyon National Recreation Area on March 8, 2005. The Prospectus explains the business opportunity and the terms and conditions under which the National Park Service will award a concession contract. The contract requires the provision of seasonal medical clinic operations to provide general medical treatment, extending to trauma treatment (emergency medical care, treatment for wounds and illness, first-aid treatment, and CPR) at the Bullfrog Medical Clinic located at the Bullfrog Visitor Center within Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. The Director, pursuant to 36 CFR Part 51, has determined that the existing concessioner is a Preferred Offeror for the contract. However, the existing concessioner has stated they will not submit a proposal for the new concession contract. Any proposal, including that of the existing concessioner, must be received by the Acting Chief of Concessions, Business Resources, National Park Service, Intermountain Region, 12795 West Alameda Parkway, Lakewood, CO 80228 no later than forty-five (45) days after the release of the Prospectus in order to be evaluated and considered for award of the concession contract to provide these services. The Prospectus will be issued March 8, 2005, for a 45-day response period under the terms described in the Prospectus, with proposals due no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2004. There is a printing cost recovery charge of $35 per copy to be delivered via Federal Express or $30 per copy if picked up in person. Persons interested in obtaining a Prospectus should mail or bring in person a check or money order (NO CASH SALES) made payable to the National Park Service. You must include a business address (no post office box) and telephone number to receive a Federal Express package. Persons wishing to pick up a Prospectus in person can obtain a Prospectus at the National Park Service, Business Resources, Intermountain Region, 12795 West Alameda Parkway, Lakewood, CO during business hours of 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
