Description

This is an Announcement only! The Request for Quotes will be posted on 3/22/05. The Department of Interior, National Park Service, Antietam National Battlefield, will be soliciting quotes from contractors having the capability to perform the work described below. This solicitation will be issued electronically, on the DOI's National Business Center (NBC) website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with DOI are required to register at the NBC site. Offerors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will also need to be registered at the above-listed site. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Subscribers to this service are ultimately responsible for reviewing the website for all information relevant to this solicitation. Prospective vendors will be required to visit this website periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the contract documents. No other notifications will be sent. The work of this contract shall include, but is not limited to the following: furnishing all materials, labor, equipment and supervision to complete the restoration of the historic Pry Barn. Contractors must be either members of the Timber Framers Guild, or show that they have had previous experience and knowledge working with heavy timber frame repairs or construction. Details will be provided in the RFQ, which shall be posted electronically on this site on 03/22/05. The Statement of Work will be attached to the RFQ, and detailed drawings will be provided at the pre-bid meeting, to be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2005.
