Description
NAICS Code: 541710 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has a requirement for developing a new methology to represent surface wave-induced resuspension of sediment and the associated constituents from highly organic cohesive sediment beds. The Ecosystems Research Division (ERD) of EPA's National Exposure Research Laboratory (NERL), located in Athens, GA, is developing new process algorithms to upgrade existing contaminated sediment transport and fate models for EPA's Office of Superfund Remediation and Technology Innovation. These models are used by EPA to predict the transport and fate of contaminants in surface waters at some Superfund sites in order to evaluate the relative effectiveness of proposed remedial measures. The base effort will require an estimated 3 months to complete and if all optional tasks are ordered by the Government the total period of performance will be from award - 24 months after award. NAICS Code 541710 applies with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The Request for Quote (RFQ) is expected to be issued approximately fifteen days after the date this notice is posted. Quotes will be due approximately 15 calendar days after issuance of the RFQ IAW FAR Part 13. This quote will be awarded as a Full and Open competitive simplified acquisition. The RFQ and amendments will be available via the Internet http://www.epa.gov/oam/rtp_cmd. It will be your responsibility to frequently check the same site where the solicitation is posted for any amendments.
