- Provide all labor, material, transportation, equipment and supervision required to Replace Lighthouse Roof for USCG ANT Duluth, MN. 1.1 Duluth South Breakerwater Light work includes the following: 1.1.1 Completely demolish and remove the existing interlocking shingles, underlayment and flashing. Remove all fasteners and thoroughly clean the underlying roof deck necessary to receive new materials. 1.1.2 Place new membrane underlayment over the entire roof deck, including dormers, crickets and other roof surfaces. Install new flashing along eaves, rakes, transitions and valleys and around roof penetrations. Counter-flashing shall be grouted into masonry joints as detailed. Membrane shall be self-adhering rubber specifically manufactured for ice protection applied to the roof deck as recommended by the manufacturer. 1.1.3 Provide and install new standing seam metal roofing over the roof deck as shown. Assure roofing is properly secured using fasteners as recommended. All seams shall be properly locked and crimped. Use open valley flashing at dormer and cricket locations. 1.2 Superior Entry South Breakwater Light work includes: 1.2.1 Remove the existing standing seam metal roofing, flashing and underlayment from the lighthouse. Replace approximately 80 square feet of deteriorated roof deck boards with new ? inch thick by 6 inches wide tongue and groove planking. 1.2.2 Place new membrane underlayment over the roof deck as shown. Fold top edges of membranes to form pleats as necessary to compensate for the curvature of the end sections of the roof. Install flashing along eaves, around the light tower, chimney and penetrations. 1.2.3 Provide and install new standing seam metal roofing as noted in paragraph 1.1.3. Shape roof panels to accommodate curvature of the ends of the roof. Fasten and seam as recommended by the manufacturer. 1.2.4 Remove deteriorated masonry material along the top edge of the eave and replace with new mortar/non-shrink grout to match the existing eave profile. Drill and epoxy anchor rebar dowels as indicated and extend rebar longitudinally through the patch. Approximately 10 lineal feet of eave will be replaced. Unit Work Items: Provide a Unit Work Item cost on a square foot basis for the replacement of roof deck material. Provide a unit work item cost on a per lineal foot basis for eaves. Period of performance is 90 DANTP. This procurement is estimated Between $100,000 and $250,000. This procurement is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The applicable NAICS is 238160 with a Small Business Size Standard of $12.0 M. All responsible sources may submit an offer that will be considered by the agency.
