Description

Amendment #1 The Wiesbaden Contracting Center has received information from contractors that have expressed interest in attending the site visit, which will be conducted on 10 March 2005. As stated in the previous synopsis, contractor information had to be submitted t o WCC by 28 February 2005 for us to coordinate access to the Babadag Training Area in Romania. Any firms which did not submit information by the deadline bear sole responsibility to gain entry to the site. Only those persons who are on the authorization l ist provided by the Romanian Government will be permitted. The Romanian point of contact is COL Popescu and his e-mail address is olimpiup@mapn.ro with the Romanian Government. There is currently bad weather in Romania and the site visit may be affected or even cancelled if the weather is not-permitting. Contractors are invited to attend at their own risk. The site visit is not a mandatory requirement. The RFP will be released on or about 4 March 2005. An amendment to the RFP will provide any new information provided during the site visit. Site Visit Agenda Meeting point : Rex Grand Hotel, Mamaia, Romania. (Phone 00 40 241 831 521) Date: 10 March 2005 Time: 0800 Government and contractor personnel will meet in a conference room at 0800 and a daylong agenda will be provided. Following this short briefing, authorized persons will board a bus at the Rex Grand Hotel, Mamaia, Romania. The bus will depart no later tha n 0930 and proceed to the Babadag Training Area in Romania. All personnel are required to ride the bus. A walking / bus tour will be conducted at the M-K Airbase and the Babadag Training Area. A bag lunch will be available. Bus transportation will be provided back to the Rex Grand Hotel. The Government will provide technical personnel to answer questions once everyone is back in the conference room at the Rex hotel. All questions and answers along with a list of companies in attendance will be posted as an amendment to the RFP.
