Description

THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION ISSUANCE. The purpose of this follow-up presolicitation notice is to discuss strategy changes for the upcoming procurement of Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) for the E-6B, by the Naval Air Systems Command. Sources are being sought to provide support in an Organization to Depot (O to D) maintenance environment, and will encompass CLS Program Management, Supply Support, Support Equipment (SE) to include Maintenance and Training, Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation (PHS&T), as well as metrics data collection, management, and reporting. No engineering or aircraft maintenance support will be required. THIS NOTICE SERVES AS AN ANNOUNCEMENT THAT THE NAVY HAS MADE CHANGES TO THE PENDING STRATEGY FOR E-6B CONTRACTOR LOGISTICS SUPPORT. The Navy is providing the following information for industry consideration and comment: (1) CLS brief containing revised strategy; (2) CLS inventory (Repairables and Consumables); and (3) CLS questionnaire. The CLS inventory is provided for information purposes only, and does represent the ?core? or ?exclusion? lists discussed in the CLS brief. This information is available at the following website, http://www.navair.navy.mil/doing_business/open_solicitations/ . If you did not attend the meeting but would like to receive a copy of the brief and be placed on bidders list, please notify Ms. Vicki Dean. AT THIS TIME, NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS EXIST. This presolicitation announcement is not a contract, or a request for proposal, or a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind. The Navy will NOT assume liability for costs incurred by any offeror for travel expenses, presentations, marketing efforts or data related any data offered for examination; therefore, the cost of preparing information in response to this notice is not considered an allowable direct charge to the Government.
