Description: The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, intends to negotiate and award a sole-source order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-05-G-0015 to General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products, Burlington Vermont. The scope of this order is to provide depot overhaul and repair of thirty (30) M197 20MM Automatic Guns. This BOA order will be issued on a sole source basis to GDATP, the sole designer, developer and original equipment manufacturer of the M61A1/A2, GAU-12, M197 and associated gun system hardware. In addition, under the current destructive device regulations of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, General Dynamics is the only certified manufacturer of the above-specified aircraft cannons.
