Description

The Government intends to contract for Laundry Services at the Presidio of Monterey, California. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, transportation, supplies, vehicles, materials, facilities and equipment as required and necessary f or the performance of a Contractor-Owned-Contractor-Operated Laundry Service in support of Presidio of Monterey and its satellite activities. This contract includes all functions, task and responsibilities normally performed by a laundry operator. Under a firm-fixed price requirement-type contract for a base year and four option years, the Base Year is a period of 12 months (1 May 2005 through 30 April 2006); in addition, four one-year options may be exercised at the discretion of the Government. Estima ted quantity of laundry is 153,000 pounds per year. Laundry items are from billeting facility, medical/dental clinics and general organizational laundry. This Request for Proposals will be issued using Commercial Services provisions of FAR Part 12. Soli citation will be posted on website: http://pom-www.army.mil/. Requests for the solicitation package will ONLY be accepted via email. Proposals will be evaluated based on Contractor's Past Performance and Experience, Technical Approach, and Price. Estimated date of release is 7 March 2005.
