Description
This sources sought notice is issued for information and planning purposes only. The Government is soliciting information to determine the availability of capable contractors that can perform the following requirement. The Army Contacting Activity (ACA) at Fort Carson, Colorado plans to issue a solicitation and subsequent contract for medical evacuation and air ambulance services utilizing rotary wing aircraft for urgent/priority patient evacuation of DOD patients in the Southern Colorado region. S pecific areas of service include Fort Carson reservation proper and all training areas utilized within the state of Colorado to include but not limited to Pinon Canyon Maneuver Site, the Fort Carson Aviation Local Flying Area, the mountain training area be tween Fort Carson and Leadville, CO, and the Eastern training areas between Fort Carson and Burlington, CO. Air carrier must be accredited by the Commission of Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS). The contractor shall provide (2) rotary wi ng aircraft with similar capabilities of a UH-60 Blackhawk, three (3) trained and certified flight and medical crews, and personnel, services, equipment, tools, fuel, oils, materials, facilities, supervision, and indirect materials necessary to perform med ical evacuation and air ambulance services. The aircraft, flight and medical crews will be required to be ready for immediate departure not later than fifteen (15) minutes of receiving the go-ahead to launch and confirmed notification of a patient evacuat ion requirement. This posture will be maintained 24/7/365. The aircraft and flight crew shall be trained, qualified, and configured and to land in remote, unimproved areas, i.e. mountainous terrain and execute patient evacuations at up to 14,000ft MSL. Ni ght Vision capability is sought. No final commitment has been made to procure the stated requirement and this sources sought notice should not be construed as a commitment or authorization to incur costs in anticipation of such procurement. The ACA-Fort Carson is interested in obtaining responses to this Sources Sought Notice from prospective contractors, but no contractor shall be reimbursed for providing this information; therefore, ACA-Fort Carson will accept the requested information in whatever forma t it is provided. All information provided will become property of the U. S. Army and will not be returned.
