Description
Naval Special Warfare Group One intends to issue a Sole Source Purchase Order to: AeroVironment Inc. for customer support of the FQM-151A Pointer, Raven and GU-11 Swift equipment. Pointer, Raven and SWIFT UAVS and Ground Control Units contain several proprietary electronic assemblies which can not be serviced by any other company. AeroVironment can provide the technical expertise and proprietary knowledge to correctly troubleshoot and repair these airframes. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This acquisition is being conducted with commercial procedures as outlined in FAR Part 12. Solicitation Number H92240-05-Q-UA02 is issued as a request for quotation. (RFQ) The resulting contract will be firm fixed price. All responsible businesses may submit a quote that shall be considered. Description: The maintenance, repair and technical support consist of: Item Number 0001: Diagnostic Evaluation : Effort which is associated with a rigorous evaluation of a returned vehicle; enters the return into repair system, documents received conditions, characterizes the failure(s), estimates a repair cost and return date Qty: 50 Each Item Number 0002: Minor Repair: Includes approxiamately three hours of repair and test time, and a nominal amount of replacement material. Example items covered by a minor repair include motor structure repairs, motor replacement, damaged servos, wiring, antennas, wing alignment pin, etc. Qty: 28 Each Item Number 0003: Major Repair : This category primarily centers on color camera and avionics repairs not requiring complete replacement of the avionics motherboard. Board level diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, electrical retest, reassembly, and functional bench check of the assembled air vehicle or CCU Qty: 20 Each Item Number 0004: Flight Test Validation: Test Procedure and flight profile to evaluate efficacy of the specific repair Qty: 40 Each Item Number 0005: Post Deployment Refurbishment: Include cosmetic repairs (ding, chips, etc) paint where necessary, realignment, recalibration, a new consumables set (props, clips, etc), lens replacement on the daylight color camera, software updates as appropriate, and a flight test 10 Each Item Number 0006: Delivery to Customer Qty: 50 Each This acquisition incorporates the following FAR Clauses: 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items (Jan 2004); 52.212-3 Offeor Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (Jan 2004) must be completed and submitted along with the quote in accordance with 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items (Jan 2004).
