Description
Anticipated Issue Date: 2/24/2005. The U.S. Marine Corps; Blount Island Command (BIC), intends to purchase 144QTY ISO Quadcon Containers. This specification covers new, unused, external height 6ft 10inch by8ft width by 8ft by 4ft 9 3/8inch external length, reusable, non-collapsible, QUADCON ISO, CSC, 1CX, container with three connectors for use in 20ft module configuration, by connectors. The container shall have steel floors, with full width access doors on each end of the container, and four way forklift pockets, these steel freight cargo containersare to be utilized for transportation, distribution, and storage of military supplies. This includes United Nations (UN) Hazard Class 1 and Explosives in accordance with International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) current Codes. Containers shall be manufactured to meet all dimensions, ratings, and testing criteria for International Organization for Standardization (ISO) criteria for Series 1, Designation 1CX all pert! aining Standards in the ISO Freight Containers Standards Handbook 34, current edition ISO containers and as supplemented by this Statement of Work. All responsible parties may submit a proposal which shall be considered. All parties proposing an offer on a Government contract must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). The solicitation for the procurement will be posted on the NECO website (www.neco.navy.mil) within 5 business days of this announcement. Award will be made within 25 days of the solicitation being posted. All specific requirements for this procurement are within the solicition. If shipment from over seaseas is required, there is a mandatory requirement for the utilization of a Flag Ship for this trransportation. Solicitation will be mailed to the Contracts Support Branch, Code 910, Blount Island Command, 5880 Channel View Blvd, Jacksonville FL, 32226-3404. No telephone calls will be accepted.
