Description

This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI). HQ AIR MOBILITY COMMAND / A34YAS is preparing to acquire commercial dedicated air transportation services to move passengers and cargo in the Ft Irwin CA vicinity. The contractor will provide a dedicated 5 passenger helicopter that is capable of external load operations. The aircraft will remain at Ft Irwin. This contract will be awarded to a US certificated FAR Part 121 or 135 carrier. To help us determine the most suitable approach to acquire the air transportation services described above, the following information is requested: 1) DESCRIBE YOUR FIRM?S AVAILABLE HELICOPTERS AND THEIR CAPACITY. 2) HOW MANY YEARS HAS YOUR COMPANY BEEN FLYING PASSENGERS? 3) APPROXIMATE PRICE RANGE PER GREAT CIRCLE STATUTE MILE OR FLIGHT HOUR. 4) COMMENTS OR SUGGESTIONS TO ACHIEVE THE AIRLIFT EFFORT? This agency has not made a final decision to procure the stated requirement and this RFI should not be construed as a commitment or authorization to incur costs in anticipation of such procurement. This agency is interested in obtaining responses to this RFI from prospective contractors, but no contractor will be reimbursed for providing this information; therefore the Air Force will accept the requested information in whatever format it is provided. All information received from a contractor will become property of the Air Force and will not be returned. Responses are requested by 9 MAR 05 and should include a point of contact, phone number, fax number and e-mail address.
