Description

Maintenance and Repair of Land Mobile Radios (LMR) and Associated Components: The contractor shall provide management and supply materials, labor, tools, parts, and equipment necessary to provide maintenance and repair in accordance with FCC and manufacturer?s specifications for government-owned portable hand-held radios, repeaters, vehicular-mounted mobile radios, fixed base stations, portable base stations (consolettes), remotes, Data Encryption Standard (DES) encoders, pagers, paging system, antennas, control consoles, combiners, and multi couplers. Equipment may be of any brand name, type, or design. Some services shall be performed on a preventive maintenance schedule while others are on a non-recurring basis. The proposed commercial acquisition is restricted to Service Disabled Veteran-Owned small business concerns. However, should this "sources sought" reveal that an insufficient number of concerns in that category are available for a competitive acquisition, the solicitation will be set aside for Small Business concerns. Responding parties must indicate their business size status in relation to the applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 811213, Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code 7622 (size standard $6.0M). Businesses responding to this "sources sought" shall identify and address if they are classified as an 8(a), woman-owned, HUBZone, or otherwise classified as a small disadvantaged business, in addition to the requirement for Service Disabled Veteran-Owned or Small Business concern. This notice is only to seek sources interested in responding to the solicitation for a new LMR Maintenance contract to be awarded in the Fall of 2005. Request responses reach this office no later than 11 March 2005. E-mail responses are preferred. Points of contact and means of notification are listed below. Please ensure you include both addressees in your response.
