Description
FOR INFORMATION & NOTIFICATION PURPOSE ONLY. This pre-solicitation announcement is only to notify interested parties of the FAA's intentions to procure the following Engineering, Airport Technology, and Research and Development Services and allow companies time to prepare before the official solicitation announcement is released. This requirement is to accomplish a variety of specific activities related to the FAA Technical Center's Airport Technology Research and Development Branch. The Branch is responsible for conducting research, test, and demonstration efforts related to airport runway safety, airport planning and design, heliport/vertiport facility design, airport pavements, National Airport Pavement Test Facility, airport capacity enhancement, airport capacity/delay computer modeling, airport wildlife hazards, airport/heliport lighting and markings, test and evaluation of National Airspace System (NAS) visual aids, airport rescue and firefighting, and associated demonstration of various airport research products. The NAICS code for this requirement is "541330 " Professional, Scientific, and Engineering/Technical Services. This announcement does not obligate the FAA to procure the services so listed for the requirement listed herein. The Technical Center is located next to the Atlantic City International Airport, New Jersey 08405. Overall period of performance will be 5 years in length. Cost proposals along with Technical Proposal will be required in response to the forthcoming solicitation announcement. An IDIQ Delivery Order Cost Plus Fix Fee Contract Type will be utilized. Interest parties can access the following website to gain a more detailed understanding of the mission that the FAA Airport Technology R&D Branch provide http://www.airporttech.tc.faa.gov. Anticipated date of award will be on or before July 13, 2005. The incumbent contractor is Galaxy Scientific Corporation. Contract # DTFA03-00-D-00011. All inquiries to be submitted via e-mail only.
