Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is conducting a market survey to determine the availability and technical capability of interested small business firms to provide Emergency Remediation Services for National Institutes of Health facilities. This is not a request for a technical or cost/pricing proposal. This is a request for interested small business firms with the capability and resources to perform the required services to submit their capability statement. The services required will utilize all necessary trained and qualified personnel, labor, equipment, parts, and materials for Emergency Remediation Services following flooding and other potential disasters at the NIH. Potential incidents may include fire, water damage, wind damage and other events. The following types of services may be required: - Water extraction - Carpet cleaning - General cleaning - Moving and temporary storage of files and furniture - Demolition of damaged finishes, to include flooring, ceilings, and wall surfaces - Temporary board-up of damaged doors and windows - Smoke damage remediation - Mold remediation - Minor repair and replacement of damaged interior finishes - Document drying and restoration - Other remedial services as required by the specific incident Interested firms responding to this market survey must provide a capability statement demonstrating their experience, expertise, and available resources to perform the services. Information submitted should be pertinent and specific to the technical requirements identified herein. Include relevant background and experience, references to include contract numbers, dollar value, name of contact, and telephone number. In addition, responses MUST identify your business size and type of business (e.g., SDB, SDVOB, 8(a), etc.). Three copies of your response must be received at the address identified in this synopsis no later than close of business March 14, 2005, to the attention of Carol Hayden, 6011 Executive Blvd., #529-T, Rockville, MD 20892. When utilizing a courier service, Federal Express, or UPS, the city, state and zip code MUST read Rockville, MD 20852. Responses by facsimile (FAX) or e-mail WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. Information received will be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to utilize full and open competition when soliciting offers. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
