Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst requires one (1) each Nose Wheel Steering Damper Fixtures, P/N HP6792TF. Part Number HP6792TF includes: one (1) each PWR BRAKE TEST FIXTURE, P/N HP7614TF; one (1) each ASSEMBLY, P/N HP9071AT; one (1) each VANE POSITIONER, P/N HP6792AT-1; one (1) each STORE SEAL COMPRESSOR, P/N HP6792AT-2; one (1) each VANE SEAL POSITIONER, P/N HP6792AT-3 for the Taiwan Air Force E-2T Support Equipment Program. The government intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis with Tactair Fluid Controls, Inc of Liverpool, NY. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, this firm is considered the only company familiar with the Nose Wheel Steering Damper Fixtures for the E-2T aircraft, as they are the designer and manufacturer of the units. The Government does not possess the drawings or technical data. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
