- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items/services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is an Request For Quotes (RFQ); NAICS Code 516110; size standard $21M. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-27. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-2 the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System, Little Rock, Arkansas on behalf of VISN 16, intends issue a sole source, firm-fixed price, commercial contract to Thomson Micromedex, 6200 S. Syracuse Way, Suite 300, Greenwood Village, CO 80111 for the renewal of Micromedex?s , medical information software database subscription. The VISN 16 sites are: VA Medical Center, Alexandria, LA, Gulf Coast Health Care System (Biloxi and Gulf Port, MS), VA Medical Center, Fayetteville, AR, Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, Houston, TX, G.V. Sonny Montgomery VA Medical Center, Jackson, MS, Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System, Little Rock, AR, VA Medical Center, Muskogee, OK, VA Medical Center, New Orleans, LA, Oklahoma City VA Medical Center, Oklahoma City, OK, and Overton Brooks VA Medical Center, Shreveport, LA. The subscription renewal includes Mobile Micromedex: Drug, Toxicology, Acute Care, Alternative Medicines, INDENTIDEX ? Drug/Capsule identifier, AltMedDex and RPS Herbal Medicine, DRUGDEX System, DRUG-REAX System, Care Notes System ? includes Drug Notes, Aftercare Instructions, General Instructions, Inpatient Care, and PreCare, IV INDEX, POISINDEX, MARTINDALE, DiseaseDex General Medicine, PDR, Pharmaceutical MSDS Sheets, REPRORISK, and P&T QUICK. Companies who can provide the above listed proprietary devise must indicate their interest in wiring no later than 2/22/05. The performance is to begin on or about March 1, 2005 for 1 year with 4 one-year renewal options. The provision of FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors ? Commercial Items applies to this solicitation. The following addenda have been attached to the clause: VAAR 852.233-70 Protest Content and VAAR 852.233-71 Alternate Protest Procedure. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications ? Commercial Items. The clause at FAR 52.212-4 applies to this acquisition.
